“I signed up for the Extreme sessions because I wanted a really good work out and wanted to do it in a smaller setting because I felt I needed a bit more one to one support than is possible in the larger classes. The sessions are tough, you have to work hard and be committed, but they are so worthwhile. I am not terribly fit and sometimes feel that I can’t do some of the exercises or keep up with everyone else. The small group dynamic is great though, I have really enjoyed working within the team, it has been really supportive and the Trainer, Richard, is fantastic. He knows when to push you to achieve that little bit more. Most of the time, it’s about confidence and he gives you that nudge to achieve what you think your body won’t do.I have just signed up for my third term of extreme sessions, I thoroughly enjoy them, they give me the support I need, a great workout and you never regret it afterwards! My fitness has improved through the last two terms and so has my confidence in my abilities. I strongly recommend them to anyone, especially if you think you need a bit more support than is possible in the bootcamp classes.” - V Hennessey—- ***** —-
“I have to say I signed up for the extreme 1001 program with a degree of anxiety and trepidation – in fact at one point I really thought I’d had a moment of insanity – after setting myself a personal goal several years ago to become the fittest I have ever been by the time I reached 50 – with 18 months left to go, I decided to up my game and try to push the boundaries! I have been physically active most of my life and now that my angels have flown the nest – have time on a more regular basis to devote to exercise and during the course of the last year and half I have been undertaking a mix of weekly cardio, pump, spin, tennis, pilates & yoga.
This 8 week program proved to be the hardest thing I have ever done both physically and mentally – after my first session – there was no doubt this was going to be extreme – I felt as if I had never worked quite so hard in my life and at one point towards the end of the first session the feeling of nausea was overwhelming – but thankfully passed ! Each session has worked a different set of muscle groups resulting in agony for two days thereafter where I have walked around like the tin man. The sessions have not gotten easier, but by the time I reached week 6 I started to feel a difference in energy levels and had quite a burst at the end of this session – I felt strong and positive – and with a 6:15am start this was no mean feat.! The video sessions, ‘homework’ and dietary tips are very useful and help you keep motivated and on track for the two months. I have to say that I personally am more motivated in a ‘class’ type of environment – so for me I carried on with my routines at the gym instead of the homework – but these were very well put together.
Richard is an excellent motivator – he takes time to understand your goals and pushes you to your limit with each session – he makes himself readily available for questions and queries personally after the session and also via e-mail. I have personally seen a difference on the scale and also in body shape during the 8 week period and feel like I have improved my overall fitness levels. I may be having another ‘moment of madness’ and just might sign up for another 8 weeks ! Great value for money – many thanks Richard.” - D. Morris

“You name it I’ve tried them all aerobics, Body Pump, Spin, running, yoga, etc and as for diets been there done it, Weightwatchers, Lighterlife, Cabbage Soup and more. Over the years I have wasted £1000’s on one diet and exercise fad with some success granted but not one which was always effective and certainly not one that was sustainable – until now.
I first started Bootcamp exercise and eating clean back in April and although at first wasn’t getting results and wanted to blame it on my ‘condition’ stuck at it, increased it and actually did it! So now by attending regular Bootcamp classes and sticking to eating clean – most of the time – the results have been amazing!
Back in July when I first saw the extreme1001 Programme advertised I was still in the ‘disappointed with my results’ phase and wanted a quick fix. But this time a sensible quick fix not a virtual gastric band, a liquid only diet or a fad exercise. I wanted motivational, professional and enjoyable exercise as I had already experienced at absolute fitness Boot Camps. If this was better than Bootcamp then I wanted in. I thought it would be just what I needed to boost my weight loss, lose the inches and increase my fitness – and it was.
Richard Marsh is one of the most approachable, understanding and motivational trainers I have ever met and I’ve known a few! I knew that by attending extreme1001 I would achieve great results. Each session was careful planned out, stimulating, enjoyable and damn hard work! It was great to have a more focused attention and keeping it to small numbers ensured that it worked really well despite their being slightly different fitness levels and goals from the group. I couldn’t have asked for two better training partners.
The final results have been amazing and the extreme1001 combined with attending Bootcamp and continuing to eat clean most of the time had meant I lost 12lbs, shredded 17” and increased my fitness levels by 43 points. All in just 8 weeks! I actually feel I could have done better as motivational videos and training programmes are sent to you on a regular basis and I was guilty of not always doing them – I definitely could have done more. However I feel they will benefit me as I have kept them all and will do them if I need a boost or I find I cannot attend a Bootcamp. I am definitely a better exerciser when I am in a group however small and have a motivational trainer such as Richard at the helm but I am hoping this boost will not get me to my goal and I will reach for those programmes and videos in the future.
I will attend extreme1001 again as it gave me that quick fix but one that will not be reversed and will only be improved as I reach my target weight. When I achieve that would still attend to maintain weight, improve my fitness and increase my general health and wellbeing.” – C Shockledge

“I signed up for the extreme1001 programme to kick start losing weight with the focus of small group training, a more challenging workout and the discipline of being weighed and monitored every week. What I didn’t expect was to enjoy it so much that I will miss it now it is over. It was great training with Caroline and Vicky, the workouts were definitely more intense and more challenging than a normal bootcamp workout but we encouraged each other as we were all there for the same reason ! The fitness tests are more challenging as well but the end results definitely made it all worthwhile. We all achieved great results – weight loss and inches lost as well as much improved fitness levels and that’s testament both to Richard’s commitment to keep us going, even when the muscles are aching and our own drive to stick with it.
I would definitely recommend this programme to anyone with the same aims – it is hard work and you need to be motivated but the programme achieves what it sets out to. Thank you Richard – have enjoyed every week and I’ll be back for another one after Christmas.” - A Patra
